Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE) is a Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization that raises awareness of environmental risk factors to human health and educates people on steps they can take to protect themselves, their families and the environment as a whole through:
- Workshops
- Printed Educational Materials
- Online Campaigns
Translating scientific information for general consumption, WHE empowers people to make healthy choices. Over the past several years, WHE has become a leading authority on issues related to environmental exposure in the Pittsburgh region.
Through programs like Teen on the Eco Scene and campaigns including the Fragrance Free Initiative, WHE works with students in school settings to promote healthy practices and reduce the harmful effects of environmental toxins.
